Show Preview
RMS On-Line's Show program helps the user
with the entire process. From pre-show activities such as importing a
current customer and item file, setting defaults for show import, and
customizing the look of the printable show order for the customer,
to post-show activities of exporting data that can be used to import directly
into your accounting system, avoiding the re-keying of orders. It's all
included in the RMS system.
The best way to see the RMS Show program work is to see it first hand. We
visit many trade shows, including New York, Atlanta and Las Vegas. Contact
us to see if we will be at an upcoming show.
The pre-show setup also includes utilities to
help make scanning during the show efficient and easy. The print upc label
feature can be used to print barcodes labels that include the price, case pack,
and description. Defaults can be setup to insure quick and accurate input
of fields that might be common for all orders. A customizable purchase
order report can even include your company logo. You have the option of uploading your
item information into the scanner so a running total is viewable for each
order, helping you determine if a minimum order amount has been
reached.
* RMS can help you import your Customer and
item files. For a fee of $100 we can setup both of these files for you.
During the show, the system is a proven
winner. First, the scanners used are ScanPal2 from Metrologic (Honeywell). They
cost around $475 each, are very reliable and extremely easy to learn how to use.
In fact, if you spend more then one minute learning how to scan, we would be
very surprised. The scanners help you verify items, cost and case packs
while keeping a running order total.
One very important difference between RMS and
other scanning programs is the keying of non-item data, such as customer
information of special order instructions. RMS allows you to
key the customer, shipping and other information using a regular keyboard,
unlike many of the scanning systems that require a user key into a Qwarty or pen
based keyboard. This saves you a tremendous amount of time.
When printing the purchase order two copies
are printed. One for the customer, the second for you the user to keep as a
backup. The user copy also prints with item barcodes that would be very
useful if entering the order into another system.
Summary Reports are included that allow for
total, day by day and by item. These reports immediately let you know how the show is
progressing.
Several backup systems are provided to make
sure you data is safe and secure. Both automatic and manual backs are included,
which allow users to easy retrieve orders that have been deleted.
Lastly, what to do with the order data after
the show. RMS provides an export utility that can be used to export the
order information that many accounting systems can import back in, saving
countless hours of re-keying. Many accounting packages come with Sales
Order Import modules that are used for this exact propose.
If your accounting system does not have a built in importer, chances are a 3rd
party developer does have one that can be purchased. Even Quicken users
can purchase a importer for around $199 from a developer (see the link on the
right side of this page).
If you don't want to use an importer, you can
still speed up the process of entering the show orders into your accounting
system, by using the purchase order with bar codes that would have been printed.
Using a wedge scanner you can scan items and quantities directly into your sales
order without keying them.
A $120 yearly maintenance fee will cover you
for all future updates. This means all updates will be free. It
covers changes to the import scanners formats, reports, bar code standards, and
additional enhancements added from our customers suggestions.
